Chrome's Gemini sidebar now lets you save prompts as reusable 'Skills' — triggered with a slash, runs across any open tabs.
Google is rolling out Skills for Gemini in Chrome desktop — a feature that turns your best AI prompts into reusable, one-click shortcuts. Type / in the Gemini sidebar to invoke any saved Skill, and it runs against your current page or any tabs you select.
You can save a Skill straight from chat history — no setup menu required. They sync across all signed-in Chrome desktop sessions. Google is also shipping a Skills Library of pre-built templates across categories like productivity, shopping, recipes, and budgeting — use them as-is or tweak them.
Rolling out today to Chrome desktop; English (US) only at launch.
