Meta gives Facebook Marketplace sellers their own AI app
New 'Seller' app auto-writes listings from photos, manages inventory, and threads all buyer chats in one inbox.

Meta just cut Facebook Marketplace loose from the main app. Seller is a standalone app that hands casual and power sellers a proper toolkit: a unified inbox, inventory management, performance dashboards — and Meta AI doing the tedious part.
Snap a photo and the AI generates a title, description, price suggestion, and category automatically. A bulk listing feature spins up multiple items at once, while the home screen surfaces what needs attention: packages to ship, buyers waiting, and listings due for a reprice. Sellers also get analytics on views, clicks, message threads, and completed sales.
It's live now for U.S. users 18+ on iOS, with Android and web versions on the way. The move mirrors what eBay and Depop already offer — but plugs it into Facebook's massive Marketplace audience.
Why it matters: Meta is turning Marketplace's casual resellers into a real commerce channel — and letting AI handle the listing grunt work at scale.
