Grok Bot is coming to the Grok app — behind a $300 paywall

Leaked strings point to Grok Bot landing in Grok's mobile apps, plus a hidden nav tab for custom agents — Heavy tier only.

Grok Bot is coming to the Grok app — behind a $300 paywall

Strings dug out of the Grok mobile app show xAI prepping two things: Grok Bot access inside the app itself, and a hidden nav bar entry for users' own custom agents. SuperGrok subscribers reportedly get an in-app nudge to upgrade to Grok Heavy to unlock it.

That tracks with where Grok Bot actually is. It shipped in early beta on 11 August 2026 — persistent AI teammates, each with its own cloud computer, browser session and logins, working end to end and pinging you only for approvals. Launch platforms were desktop and iOS, with Android listed as coming soon. Access is bundled into SuperGrok Heavy (~$300/mo, currently discounted to $99 in a promo) and Cursor's top tiers — Ultra at $200/mo and Teams Premium at $120/seat — a side effect of SpaceX absorbing Cursor's parent Anysphere in June.

The custom-agents tab is the more interesting leak. Right now Grok Bot leans on show-me-once demonstrations that get saved as routines, not on configured agents. A dedicated roster surface in the phone app would make agent-building a first-class consumer feature rather than a desktop power-user thing.

Why it matters: xAI is turning the chat app into an agent console — and charging Heavy-tier money for the privilege.
