Hugging Face Just Built an App Store for AI Agents
Browse, pick, and plug community-built AI agents into Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor via MCP — no configuration hell.

Hugging Face now lets you browse a catalog of MCP-compatible AI agents — community-built tools packaged as Gradio Spaces — and deploy them directly into your AI assistant or coding workflow in minutes.
The mechanic is simple: visit your HF MCP settings, connect your client (Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code), then browse Spaces tagged as mcp-server. Each one exposes its functions as callable tools. Add a transcription agent, an image generator, a dataset explorer — mix and match like browser extensions. The Hub also ships Skills for coding agents: task-specific guidance modules that plug into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Gemini CLI with a single slash command.
Why it matters: Hugging Face is quietly becoming the app store layer for the agentic internet. If MCP becomes the USB standard for AI tools, HF's open community catalog is positioned to own the agent ecosystem before the walled gardens do.
