Proxy-Seller gave us test credit. We tested it ourselves on real work, and they did not see or approve this text before it was published. How we research tools.

What it does

Proxy-Seller rents proxy servers. These are IP addresses your traffic passes through, so a website sees the proxy's address and location instead of yours. The company has been running since 2014 and is based in Cyprus. It sells five kinds of proxy from one account:

  • Datacenter IPv4 and IPv6, rented per IP for a period.
  • Static ISP proxies, which are fixed addresses registered to consumer internet providers.
  • Rotating residential proxies, billed per gigabyte.
  • Mobile proxies.

Every type works over HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5. You can log in with a username and password or allowlist your own server's IP. There is also a REST API, with SDKs for Python, Node.js, PHP, Java and Go.

The residential product is the one most people will compare. Its features:

  • a stated pool of more than 47 million IPs across 220+ locations;
  • targeting by country, region, city and ISP;
  • either a rotating IP (per request or per time interval) or a sticky session that holds one address for the length of a task.

How we tested it

We didn't test Proxy-Seller on a benchmark. We used it on real work. Cybiqon, the company behind LLMBytes, builds Chrome extensions, and one of them is a lead-capture extension for IndiaMART BuyLeads. It reads the buyer cards on a seller's BuyLeads page and decides which ones match the seller's rules. The rules are on country, product keywords and available contact details.

To build an extension like this, you have to see the real page. Our development server sits in a Mumbai datacenter, and IndiaMART's seller site refuses datacenter traffic. In our test, seller.indiamart.com returned 403 Forbidden to a normal headless Chrome from that server. Through a Proxy-Seller residential IP in India, the same request returned the sign-in page.

On 24 October we used that route to do three things:

  • log in to our own free seller account;
  • load our extension into the browser;
  • capture ten real BuyLead cards.

Seeing real cards found three parser bugs that our mock page had hidden:

  • Country. IndiaMART shows a buyer's country only as a flag image. A domestic card prints a city and state but never the word "India". Our parser therefore read no country at all, and Indian leads were passing a rule meant to exclude them.
  • Contact details. Whether a buyer has an email or phone number is shown in hidden tooltips, which our text reader skipped.
  • Category. The line under each title is the buyer's city, not a product category.

All three are now fixed and covered by tests built from those real cards. That one session through the proxy was worth more than a week against the mock page.

On 25 October we added a measured test on the same residential plan, using test credit Proxy-Seller gave us.

Exit IP

  • The exit IP was in Gurugram, on Bharti Airtel's network, which is a genuine Indian consumer ISP.
  • Twelve requests in a row kept the same IP, because our plan was set to a sticky session. For scraping you would switch it to rotate.

Speed

  • Each request took about 1.6 seconds through the proxy, against 0.3 seconds direct.
  • That added time is normal for residential routing, and it is why you shouldn't send traffic through a proxy that doesn't need one.

Amazon.in search results in headless Chrome

  • Direct from our datacenter server: 503 three times out of three.
  • Through the proxy: a full results page with 23 prices three times out of three.

Flipkart

  • Its search page worked both direct and through the proxy, so the proxy added nothing there.

Plain scripts without a browser

  • A plain Python script with no browser got Amazon's robot check whether or not it used the proxy.
  • Meesho's homepage returned 403 both ways.
  • A clean IP does not make a script look like a browser.

Data used

  • Residential traffic is billed per gigabyte.
  • We blocked images, fonts and video in the browser. With them blocked, nine marketplace page loads cost only a few megabytes.

We tested only the residential product. We did not test datacenter, ISP or mobile proxies.

Pricing

All prices below are from proxy-seller.com, checked on 25 October 2026.

Residential

  • $3.50/GB on the smallest "test it out" plan.
  • Volume plans from $1.45/GB.
  • Enterprise quotes from $0.30/GB.
  • Plans are valid for 30 days.
  • There is a 3-day residential trial, but the return policy says it can never be refunded.

Per-IP products

  • IPv4 datacenter proxies from $0.49 per IP.
  • ISP proxies from $0.98 per IP.
  • IPv6 from $0.02 per IP.
  • Mobile from $10 per IP.
  • These rent by the week or the month, from 1 week up to 12 months.

Small print

  • The IPv4 and ISP pages advertise unlimited bandwidth.
  • Their FAQ also describes a fair-usage default of 100 threads and 100 GB of traffic per IP.
  • If you plan heavy use, ask which limit applies.

Refunds

  • Most products can be refunded within 72 hours if the proxy doesn't work and can't be replaced, or if the location you need isn't available.
  • Weekly products can't be refunded after 24 hours.

Where it fits for sellers and price monitoring

If you sell on Amazon or Flipkart, start with the official routes. Use Amazon's own APIs for data about your own listings and orders, and the marketplaces' affiliate APIs for public product data where you qualify. They are stable, they are allowed, and they don't break when a page layout changes.

A proxy is for what those APIs don't cover:

  • watching competitors' public prices and stock;
  • checking how a listing looks from a different city;
  • like us, building and testing software against a site that turns away servers.

For that work, residential proxies in India are the useful product. Datacenter IPs are cheaper, but Amazon.in and IndiaMART refused ours outright.

Our advice is the same whichever provider you choose:

  • Collect public pages only.
  • Respect the site's terms and rate limits. We waited several seconds between requests.
  • Don't send traffic through a proxy that doesn't need one.

Checking a few hundred products a day, without images, uses very little traffic, so the $3.50/GB entry plan goes a long way. Once your volume reaches tens of gigabytes a month, the $1.45/GB tier is close to the cheapest of the providers we compared.

Limits

  • No free plan. The cheapest way to try it is the non-refundable 3-day trial or the smallest plan. Webshare offers a permanent free tier.
  • Reviews need careful reading. Trustpilot currently shows no TrustScore for Proxy-Seller. It says the rating was withdrawn for a breach of its guidelines and that fake reviews were removed. Among the remaining reviews:
    • Praise is mostly for friendly, fast support.
    • Complaints are about blocked payment sites, fair-usage cut-offs on ISP proxies, and replacements that did not cover residential traffic.
  • Speed costs. Every residential request added more than a second in our test, and Geekflare's measurements showed much lower download speeds through each proxy type than direct.
  • India for static IPs is not listed. The IPv4 and ISP pages name other countries, so if you need a fixed Indian address, ask before buying.
  • A proxy alone won't solve robot checks. Amazon showed its robot check to our plain script through the proxy.

Who should pick something else

  • Webshare, if you want to start free or need cheap datacenter IPs.
  • Decodo (formerly Smartproxy), if you want a small pay-as-you-go balance with a money-back window.
  • IPRoyal, if your use is occasional and you don't want traffic to expire.
  • Bright Data, if you need the largest pool and enterprise tooling, and can pay for it.

Choose Proxy-Seller if you want residential, ISP, datacenter and mobile proxies in one account, with city and ISP targeting.

DecodoResidential pay-as-you-go $4/GB; 3 GB plan $3.75/GB; $2/GB at 1,000 GB; 3-day 100 MB trial; 14-day money-back on plansYou want a small pay-as-you-go wallet and a money-back window.
IPRoyalResidential $7/GB at 1 GB down to $1.75/GB at 10 TB; traffic does not expireYou scrape occasionally and don't want unused traffic to lapse.
Bright DataResidential pay-as-you-go $8/GB ($4/GB with a launch coupon); monthly plans from $499You need the largest pool, zip-level targeting and enterprise tooling, and have the budget.

Verdict

Proxy-Seller did the job we needed: its Indian residential IPs on Airtel got our browser onto IndiaMART's seller site and Amazon.in search, where our datacenter server was refused, and that let us fix a parser bug that would have let Indian leads through our extension. Pricing is competitive at volume, and having every proxy type in one account is the real draw. Go in knowing there is no free tier, Trustpilot has pulled its score, and a proxy will not make a plain script pass robot checks. Use official marketplace APIs first and collect public data politely.
